When Manheim approached our team ahead of NADA 2020, their goal was simple—but powerful: help dealers see the full picture of their partnership in one glance. Each client needed a personalized profile that reflected their business performance with Manheim, while also showcasing the company’s technology-driven vision. The challenge was transforming raw data into a visually engaging, easy-to-grasp story—all powered by realtime automation.



Problem

Manheim wanted to stand out at one of the automotive industry’s biggest events, NADA 2020, by offering each dealer a tailored business profile. However, manually creating hundreds of individualized profiles wasn’t scalable. The team needed a way to automatically generate accurate, data-rich, and visually compelling reports without losing the polish and personal touch expected from the brand.

The tension was clear: how do you merge personalization with efficiency—without compromising on design quality?

Process

Working closely with the art and creative directors, I focused on translating data-heavy spreadsheets into a sleek, story-driven design that could be automated in realtime. I explored ways to make complex metrics—like sales performance and engagement—more human and intuitive.

We built templates that dynamically pulled in live dealer data, formatted consistently, and output ready-to-share profiles. I refined typography, iconography, and hierarchy to ensure every element communicated clarity and trust. This meant balancing Manheim’s professional tone with visual simplicity, ensuring dealers could instantly recognize their impact.

The final dealer profiles were a hit at NADA 2020.
