Cinema Bite mobile app

Description

Picture this: a movie night made seamless, where you can order your favorite cinema snacks without missing a single scene. This app transforms the moviegoing experience by letting users browse the full concession menu, place their order, and track its progress—all without leaving their seat.

Once the order is placed, users receive real-time updates, including an estimated wait time and a notification when their snacks are ready for pickup, ensuring a smooth and stress-free experience.

I designed this app as part of my Google UX Design course, focusing on crafting an intuitive and delightful solution to a common pain point for moviegoers.

My role

I took on the dual role of researcher and designer for this UX/UI project, handling everything from initial discovery to final design. This individual project involved:

  • Conducting interviews to uncover user needs and pain points.

  • Creating paper and digital wireframes to explore layout ideas.

  • Developing low- and high-fidelity prototypes to test usability and iterate on solutions.

  • Conducting usability studies to refine the experience and ensure it met user expectations.

  • Accounting for accessibility to create an inclusive design.

As the project’s high-fidelity designer, I transformed rough wireframes into polished designs that aligned perfectly with the brand’s identity. A key focus was selecting an icon system that struck the right balance between playfulness and professionalism, making the interface intuitive for parents while building trust and approachability.
