Overview
Wagster started as a self-initiated exercise -- a fictional pet sitting app built specifically to explore onboarding illustration. No client brief, no constraints. Just a chance to figure out how illustration could guide a first-time user through an app experience without a single word doing the heavy lifting.
The Work
Each illustration was created as a standalone moment -- warm, approachable, and character-driven. The goal was to make the onboarding feel less like instructions and more like meeting a friend. Sketches came first to work out personality and pose before committing to final renders.
